WHEN TO CALL - PARTY PLANNING TIPS

Known for flexibility, if you have a gig tomorrow and want a DJ last minute, give us a call! We've covered weddings for DJ's who canceled within one day and pulled it off with high accolades!

HOW EARLY SHOULD I PLAN? – There is no rule. The bigger the event, the more advance notice you should give, when possible. (Sometimes, however, six months ahead won't guarantee the hall, caterer, or DJ you really want, so always call ASAP!)

PRIME TIME – is any Saturday night, May to Nov. Choose a Saturday and guests have all morning to arrive and all of Sunday to get home. Avoid Winter; you don’t want to drop $10,000 on a party if guests could get stuck in snow. Prime Time slots are your best option, but they fill fast.

HOLIDAYS – Stay away from holidays. They reduce guest availability. A Halloween-themed wedding can be very fun, but if it actually falls on the 31^st, some parents will take children out to trick-or-treat.

BOOKING CHURCH & HALLS – The smaller the town, the more time you need. Only about 24 people can book a Saturday night for one venue during "Prime Time." If you really want a good selection, start a full year ahead, or even 18 months.

BOOKING DJs & BANDs – Six months is a good rule of thumb for reserving good entertainment for a Saturday wedding. It's a crap shoot, however, when you want a particular DJ name or band. I find that at the six month point, sometimes we are already booked, sometimes not.
